We stumbled across this little gem and honestly, it was lovely. The lodge was spotless, cosyand had everything we needed. Parking was secure behind a gate-which was a relief. Chris, the host, was brilliant-nothing was too much trouble. We arrived to find brownies and orange juice, such a sweet touch! The outdoor hot tub was a real treat. Waking up to views of fields, cowsand sheep, with the distant sound of a steam train, made it even more special. Plenty to explore nearby, like Llangollen and Ironbridge-definitely worth a visit.

After long walks, the big sofa was perfect for unwinding. The highlight? The wood-burning hot tub, which we’d never tried before but now might want at home. Overall, a lovely weekend surrounded by stunning scenery, with plenty of great walks and a cosy place to return to. Cheers, Chris Hide!
