Camlad Barn Reviews

Emma
The cottage was stunning, really tastefully decorated and in a perfect spot. Loved the nearby walks and the pub just a short stroll up the hill, plus the hot tub was the cherry on top!
Emma
We had an absolutely lovely stay! The location is perfect for countryside walksand the kids loved the hot tub. The garden’s secure, so we didn’t worry about the dog at all. The log burner added a cosy touch, making everything feel really special. Only small downside was the beds-bit on the small side and not super comfy, but that’s probably just us being used to a Tempur at home. Also, the kitchen could do with a bigger fridge; we struggled fitting the week’s shopping in. Still, a great place overall!
Emma
We loved this place for my dad’s 60th celebration. The view with the snow was truly breathtakingand the barn is absolutely gorgeous. The owners really went above and beyond - we couldn’t have asked for a better, more relaxing week away!
Emma
We had a lovely stay! The cottage was spotless and really well kitted out, everything we needed. The beds were super comfyand the bedding felt lush. The hot tub was pristine and perfect for unwinding while enjoying the amazing view. We took trips to Montgomery, Welshpool, Ludlowand Shrewsbury-such charming places. The Castle Hotel in Bishops Castle is worth a visit too, especially since they’re dog friendly and serve great food. Would definitely come back!
Emma
Absolutely loved our stay here, definitely planning to return soon. Can't recommend enough!
Laura
Camlad Barn really is a lovely place to stay. The cottage is beautifully kept and super well stocked - we found everything we needed and more. Little touches like hair dryers and torches in each bedroom made a difference. The hot tub was fantasticand it’s checked daily by the team, so we felt totally at ease. The location is just perfect: peaceful, quietand surrounded by loads of wildlife, which we loved. It’s a great spot if you’re after a proper escape from busy city life. We also enjoyed heading to the Miners Arm nearby for pizza; it’s worth a visit. Having a car is pretty much essential if you want to explore, especially if mobility is an issue, but the beautiful walks around Marington Estate were a real highlight. Our dog had a fantastic time too - it’s so nice that the enclosed garden means everyone can relax together. We’d definitely come back!
Emma
We recently stayed at this gorgeous luxury barn with a group of six friends and our lively dogand honestly, it was fantastic! The location was just what we needed-peaceful, quiet, away from the chaos of everyday life. The barn itself is a real beauty, combining rustic charm with modern touchesand there's plenty of space for everyone to kick back comfortably. One of our favourite parts was the short walk to the local pub, perfect for some drinks and good chat. The countryside around is lovely too, with scenic trails ideal for walking and exploring with our dog. All in all, it was a great weekend getawayand we’re already planning to come back!

The place was spotless when we arrivedand it had everything we could possibly need - from comfy furnishings to thoughtful touches. The outdoor space is a real highlight, with a secure garden, a pretty sitting areaand a hot tub that was cleaned daily, which was great. Inside, the decor is modern and spacious, making it feel really welcoming. Everyone we met from the staff was super friendly and gave us great tips on local spots to visit, which we appreciated. We stayed at this charming holiday cottage and it was just perfect for our peaceful getaway. The beds were super comfy with high-quality bedding and towels, which made us feel really pampered. The garden was private and had stunning views of the countryside, plus it was safe for the kids to play. We loved using the croquet set and swingball - so much fun! Having an EV charging point was a real bonus for us. There’s plenty to explore nearby, including lovely walks and a visit to a local vineyard which everyone enjoyed. All in all, a great place for a family break!
