What a beautiful place! It’s perfect for a peaceful trip and there’s loads to keep the kids entertained! Our only issue was the WiFi, so we’d suggest downloading some things for the little ones beforehand. The restaurant nearby was incredible; we didn’t have one bad meal! We only interacted with the owners once, but they were truly amazing, really kind and helpful. We can’t wait to come back next year!

We had a lovely weekend celebrating with three generations! The lodge was a good size for eight people, featuring decking, a BBQand a nice seated area. The kids really loved the play area. The location was perfect for strolling into the village. A few parts of the lodge seemed a bit tired and could do with an upgrade, like the large rug in the lounge. The low-backed sofas are attractive, but not the best for two people with bad backs. Also, with eight of us, we reckon a further undercounter fridge in the utility room would be helpful!

We loved how central the location is for exploring both Shropshire and Wales. The four ensuites are such a great bonus! You really appreciate the size of the veranda when you stay thereand since part of it is covered, it’s perfect even when it’s raining. The same goes for the hot tub. The four lodges in the private park are nicely spaced out and don’t overlook each other at all. Also, there are two fantastic Italian restaurants in Oswestry, Lepones and Prezzo, both of which have a takeaway menu.
