What an amazing place this is. Fantastic views over the valley, daily fly pasts of planes entering the mac loop weather permitting. Log burner, BBQ, hot tub, pub down he road. What a great find this was! 100 enjoyed our stay and we will be back. Thanks to the hosts for a warm welcome and looking after us during our stay.
What an absolute Gem of a place! We have had the best 4 night stay. The pictures of the property in the advert makes the place look stunning, but its even better in reality! The property is gorgeous and perfectly decorated. The kitchen has everything you need and the lounge is simply amazing, with breathtaking views! Slept so well in the beds, which have quality bedding. Relaxing in the hot tub after a days hiking, with those views, is amazing, watching the jets flyby! With the log burner lit, its the perfect way to end the day. The WiFi is superb, given the location. A special mention to the host, Mari. Such a warm caring host and genuinely one of lifes good people. She clearly wants people to have the best stay and we certainly did! Just perfect 5!
We have just returned from the most amazing Christmas at this beautiful cottage. I can not praise it enough, comfy beds, stunning views, peaceful and well equipped with everything you could think of. The owner Mari can not do enough and was on hand if we needed anything, hot tub area is secluded with views over the Welsh Valleys and there are plenty of walks all around if you want to explore. We will definitely be returning as soon as possible. Thank you for the most amazing Christmas we have ever had
Beautiful cottage, stocked with everything you may need. Views out of this world!!!! 5 star, even the beds are comfy. Nothing too much trouble. If your a walker then this is paradise. If not fab little places to visit. Already booked to go back.
The host was absolutely lovely and courteous. The property is stunning and well maintained.
This is by far the best rental cottage have ever stayed in. We wanted for nothing at all. It's was so clean warm and cosy. The hosts were on hand if we did need anything which we didn't. We went to watch the planes in the mach loop and we were not disappointed. They fly right in front of the cottage it was an amazing sight. . They were very friendly and welcoming we would not hesitate to return to this property
The best equipped holiday let we have stayed in. Beautiful location Owners friendly and helpful
A beautiful home from home with outstanding views. The property had everything we needed and more and with the lovely owners living next door they were on hand if we needed anything. It was cosy and comfortable and offered a great viewpoint to see the red kites and the low flying jets. Other reviews mentioned the steep drive but it really wasn't that bad and we don't have a 4x4 vehicle. We did a couple of lovely walks close to the property and also visited the nearby coast for a walk along the beach. We didn't get to visit the nearby Brigands Inn as although it's not far we didn't feel that it was safe road to walk down without anywhere to get away from the traffic. Ysgubor Craig Y Gronfa offers a lovely peaceful base for exploring the area and I couldn't recommend it highly enough.
Lovely, spacious property with beautiful views. Friendly helpful owner. Super comfy bed and so well equipped. The milk, biscuits, crisps and even toiletries were a lovely added touch.

We had an amazing stay, the accommodation was amazing as were the hosts! We hope to be back one day
Had a lovely week at the cottage, its been tastefully decorated and, was very clean and comfortable. Directions were easy to follow and, it should be noted that the track leading to the property is steep and uneven, if you have a low car. The views are amazing and, we got to see a few jets on the mach loop which, was a bonus. Mari, the owner was welcoming and, left us gifts on arrival which, was appreciated. The only negative was that there is no window in the main bedroom which, in warm weather was stuffy. We did mention this to Mari and, she took it on board. There is an emergency door but, wouldn't leave it open all night to let air in!
Amazing cottage, will definitely be back! !!
Brilliant place by far the best we have stayed at loved it! !!
We had a wonderful, restful and extremely comfortable stay. From the kitchen facilities to the super warm woodburner and huge bed, everything was spoton!! Lovely hosts and a great location for driving to walks in either direction. Heartily recommended. Definitely one of the best cottages we have stayed in. Thank you, Mari x

The cottage was very comfortable with very friendly hosts. The cottage is well equipped, we had everything we needed and more. The location was great for exploring a very pretty part of Wales, although everything did require at least a short drive to visit. There is a nice view over the valley from the property although the cottage and site doesn't make the most of it there's not a clear view from inside the property. Also, as is expected from rural sites the internet connection was a little patchy at times. However, our stay was overwhelming positive, a warm, cosy, and very comfortable cottage with friendly and accomodating hosts. We'd be happy to stay here again.

A brilliant place to stay that had all the equipment you could want. Comfy beds, great kitchen, a wood burning stove to curl up by in the evening. In easy reach of lots of great walking in hills and by the sea our 4 year old climbed a lot of hills and ploughed through a lot of puddles! The track up was a little daunting at first but very manageable. The owner was very friendly and helpful and gave us good tips on things to do. I would definitely stay here again.
Denise
What a beautiful place to stay, the owners were amazing and kept the cottage fully equipped and a nice welcome pack included. Scenery from window is so picturesque. It is on the Mach Loop which is what we came on holiday for. Cottage felt very homely and we very much enjoyed our stay here. 10 out 10 for this property and would highly recommend it .
A well equipped property in a beautiful location. Comfy beds and delightful friendly host to advise on places to visit and local information.
This recently refurbished barn conversion has everything you could want and more, from the dramatic but practical slate floor downstairs to the plush through carpeting upstairs, complimented by new furniture and all other household goods. The owners were helpful and friendly but the barn still felt like 'our space'. The views were amazing.

Ysgubor Craig Y Gronfa is a real gem in the Welsh mountains, perched on the side of a mountain with views to die for, one of the best kept and equipped cottages we have stayed in. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly and helped with suggestions for the area if we asked for them. The location was perfect for us, a family of 4 one teenager and one almost!, we were able to explore so many beautiful places whilst coming back to a beautiful place. Barmouth beach is 30 mins drive away beach meets mountains, lakes Bala and Vyrnwy are 40 mins drive Windsurfing and Canoing, Aberdyfi 40 mins drive, for a spot of Paddle boarding. The Red Lion pub in Dinas Mawddwy 5 mins drive is a great locals pub and perfect for practicing your Welsh! Or over the pass towards Dollgellau for the Cross Foxes pub 10 mins drive and dinner on the decking. When we go back for another holiday in Wales we are staying here, we liked it..... a lot.
