Is The Cart House Right For You?

Discover why this cottage is ideal for different types of visitors

For Families
While The Cart House is primarily designed for couples, families with a young child might enjoy the on-site facilities. The shared games barn features a toddler ball-pit alongside pool table, air hockey and hand football. The single-storey layout is practical, but with only one bedroom, space is limited. Fresh eggs from the farm chickens would be fun for kids to collect.
For Couples
The Cart House is built for romance. The private enclosed courtyard with massive hot tub offers complete seclusion. Inside, the woodburning stove creates a cosy atmosphere next to the plush sofa. The king-size bedroom with Smart TV and en-suite adds luxury. Victoria's thoughtful touches like welcome scones and wine set the mood for a perfect break away from it all.
Pet Friendly
The Cart House does not allow pets. The property is designed as a couples' retreat with features that might not be suitable for animals. The enclosed courtyard and hot tub area are set up for human relaxation rather than pet accommodation. If you're looking for a pet-friendly option, you would need to consider alternative properties in the Shropshire area.

The Cart House Reviews

We really enjoyed our stay at The Cart House and would love to visit again. It is a lovely property. Really well maintained, clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The garden area is fenced and provided privacy while using the large hot tub. The Cart House is one of a few beautifully converted farm buildings and sits around a grassed courtyard. Free range chickens occupy the field next to the cottage and we were able to collect fresh eggs for our breakfast! It is in a quiet country village setting perfect as a base for walking and to explore the surrounding towns. I can highly recommend The Cart House.
A lovely, clean & comfortable property in a peaceful location. Thank you to Victoria for her kind welcome essentials. We hope to visit again in the near future
The carthouse is the perfect property for a couples getaway. It is so cosy with the log burner and the hot tub is excellent located in a private enclosed garden. The property comes equipped with everything you could need with Victoria, the host, even providing fresh milk and eggs from the farm ready for our arrival. The farm itself also has really good facilities with a well stocked shop and plenty of entertainment facilities. It is such a beautiful location with plenty of opportunities for hiking and within short distance of Shrewsbury, Oswestry and Welshpool. We had a wonderful stay at the cart house and would recommend it to anyone looking for a secluded getaway.
Lovely couple of days. Cottage and hot tub were great. Victoria was a great host with great communication before the stay. She helped with the delivery of flowers and suggested some nice walks. We will be back
Amazing from start to finish. From milk, eggs, scones and wine when we arrived to the offer of a later check out the morning we left. The farm is stunning and has everything you need. The hot tub is the biggest and most powerful I have had the pleasure of using, a real highlight! The surrounding area is full of natural beauty and the perfect location to visit Shropshire. Elsies tea room is a must!!!! The food is to die for. A huge thank you Victoria for a lovely time.

Myself and my partner had the most beautiful weekend from start to finish for his 30th birthday. Vicki was so helpful with everything and more. We had some trouble with the WiFi, it was very slow which wasn't an issue because we didn't get away to spend times on our phones but she came to try and solve the issue instantly. She also let us know about local bonfire displays, and bought us some beautiful home made scones and lemon meringue pies. It was a lovely location, driving distance to everything you needed and some lovely walls near by. The cottage had everything and more we needed and the hot tub was pure bliss! Can not wait to come and stay again another time. Thank you so so much! X
Without a doubt , the best cottage we have ever stayed in in 35 years of using holiday cottages. The quality of furniture is obvious everywhere. Everything is provided. You need not pack anything but clothes. The bathroom is a fully sealed wet room, ideal for people with disabilities but doesn't feel like it. The hot tub is enormous for two people. And completely private enclosed in a small suntrap. And Victoria is so helpful and attentive. Really cannot fault it. Didn't use the play barn but looked in. You would pay for entry to something like that standalone. And the dvd selection available to borrow is better than blockbusters used to have .
