About The Farmhouse

The Farmhouse is a luxurious three-bedroom property sitting right beside the River Rheidol in Wales. This spacious country retreat offers stunning river valley views from both inside and the garden. Set in the gorgeous Rheidol Valley, this spot gives you the best of Welsh countryside living. The riverside location provides a peaceful backdrop for morning coffees or evening drinks. Lovely house in a quiet area. Local to amenities and some lovely pubs. Owners were lovely and very friendly. Would definitely recommend to others!
Great stay and really nice cottage only 10 mins from the town centre. Only issue was finding the cottage. On the map on sykescottages app, the location icon is completely off and had us lost for an hour trying to find the cottage. To make matters worse there is barely any service to look online or call anyone so a bit of a mess there. Other than the map needing updating with more accuracy the stay was 1010

We were enthusiastically welcomed by Elaine and Owen and all questions asked were answered quickly. We were made to feel at home which added to our happy and relaxed holiday at The Farmhouse. The property was roomy, immaculate and the equipment provided left nothing wanting. The Farmhouse sits in a beautiful area and there is no shortage of places to visit and things to do to keep visitors busy for a fortnight or longer.
Absolutely fabulous clean cottage with a very nice host in a lovely country. The next bigger town Aberystwyth takes just over 10 minutes. The HotTub was our highlight. Highly recommended.

Just the most relaxing accommodation you could wish for, superbly situated next to the river Rheidol with an amazing hot tub from which to appreciate the tranquility, Aberystwyth is a 10 minute drive away, and the amazing New Quay a 45 minute journey, local country walks are an option as situated in a lovely rural spot, overall we couldn't fault the whole experience of our break and will definitely be returning

Had a lovely holiday at the farmhouse. Very clean, perfectly situated and great hosts. We've stayed in a few cottages in Wales and this is definitely one id recommend to anyone whether your adults alone or a family. The kids loved every minute and adults had time to relax and unwind. The views are absolutely amazing such a great location definitely due a return.
The property was absolutely stunning and completely exceeded our expectations. The location is easy to get to and beautiful. The owners of the property as lovely and very helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wished we had booked for a longer period. We will definitely be back for sure! The only small feedback we would give was we were surprised the remaining 2 rooms both had 2 single beds. Which was absolutely fine for it being just the 2 of us, but if we were to bring other family members, one of the other rooms having a double bed would have been much more appealing.

Gorgeous location and very welcoming hosts. This property is absolutely wonderful, everything you need is provided for. There is a river pool a few hundred meters from the end of the garden, where we swam daily, it is idyllic. Comfy beds, great showers and the hot tub was amazing. We visited local eateries recommended by the owners which did not disappoint. Aberystwyth was close by and we canoed on the sea and down the river. There is lots to do locally and the property is really outstanding. We will definitely return and continue our adventures.

This is our second visit I really hope it won't be our last. Fabulous house with countryside all around. So relaxing and peaceful. Hot tub is amazing. Everything in the house, furniture, bedding, bathrooms etc first class. Lovely having a chat with the hosts again. So friendly and extremely helpful. It was much needed week of relaxation for us. What a fantastic place to switch off and unwind! Inside, the house is modern, clean and comfortable. Outside is beautiful, green and peaceful. The hot tub was great after long walks, of which there are plenty nearby. The beds are incredibly comfortable, it felt like sleeping on a cloud. The showers are nice and powerful. The kitchen was very well equipped. Our son loved the river which is accessible via some steps a short stroll from the house. He spent hours paddling, skimming stones and searching for insects. The owners were friendly and helpful and not at all intrusive. The place feels so rural and yet you are only a very short drive away from Aberystwyth where there are some good restaurants, supermarket etc. This was undoubtedly one of the best properties we have stayed at and we certainly hope to be back!

We had an lovely stay here on a family holiday. The property was beautifully decorated and had everything that we needed. Elaine and her husband were on hand to help, not that we needed them. The hot tub set up with the pagoda and lights was great with relaxing views. Would highly recommend!

Beautiful property, wonderful owners, stunning location. Very well equipped, comfortable furnishings, spacious and spotlessly clean. The hottub was divine, with amazing views of the valley and the Red Kites flying by. The River is crystal clear and has a pool nearby you can swim in. Lovely walks and lots to do with the family close by.
The farm house is lovely very warm with the underfloor heating. the river outside was a great feature which Im sure would be lovely in the summer

We had a much needed fantastic and restful time over Christmas. The house was clean, well equipped and cosy. The area is simply beautiful and the hot tub a huge bonus even when cold outside. The only improver would be on the WiFi but otherwise it was perfect for us!

This property is just fabulous. We have stayed in many holidays lets before but this beats them hands down. Its not just its fabulous picturesque location, yet still with amenities on the door step. Its also its cleanliness, the attention to detail, no expense has been spared on making this place amazing!

My wife and I along with 2 friends spent 3 nights in this property and we couldnt have asked for more. The property itself was beautiful and clean with everything we could have asked for. We mentioned to the owners we had recently got married and they went out of their way to buy us champagne which we thought was a wonderful touch. This is a beautifully built and warm house, with great specifications,in an excellent location, The river views from the house are spectacular and ever changing with the amount of rainfall. The area is one of outstanding beauty with lots of places to visit, all within a short distance. Watching the red kites feeding just down the road at Nant yr Arian was amazing. The house itself is very well equipped, and we coped easily with the diminished supply of crockery etc due to Covid 19. The hosts could not be more helpful, not intrusive but available if needed. I look forward to another holiday in this beautiful house.
Where to start, a beautiful setting for a truly wonderful cottage. It was fab, everything you could wish for and more, the hot tub was excellent, perfect setting looking out onto the river. Nothing but complete praise for the lovely owners who made us feel extremely welcome and have created a lovely place to completely chill and relax. The house is really lovely with three generous sized bedrooms and two great bathrooms. The hot tub is AMAZING with an incredible view. The roof over the top means it's great in all weathers. We loved our stay. Understandably due to covid restrictions, a lot of extras had to come out of the property games, books etc so take your own. Thank you to Elaine and family for a really great stay.
